Senior Nomad Budget Travel

Easy, Safe, Fun!

About the Author

Suzann Larsen

I got “bit” by the travel bug in the late ’60s on a 6-week road trip from Ohio to California that meandered through Mexico City and Acapulco along the way. A subsequent trip across the entire width of Canada sealed in forever my life-long passion for travel.

However, life’s obligations soon intervened and I put away my bags for many years. It was not until the early ’90s that an exciting job offer took me to a small town near London. My travel passion was rekindled and has been burning strong ever since.

Now, 25 years later, I can’t think of anything else that has defined my life as much as traveling has. Where I live changes, where (and if) I work changes. Relationships come and go. Interests wax and wane. My hair turns grey, pounds are gained and lost again. And parts of my body don’t “cooperate” with me nearly as much as they used to.

But through it all there is one constant never changing thread… my love for exploring new places with the joy of new experiences.

Retired and Lovin’ it!

I’m retired now but am nowhere near done with my world travels. At the time of this writing, I’ve lived & worked in 6 countries and visited about 40. I thoroughly love exploring different places and experiencing different cultures. When I’m not traveling, I’m usually busy planning my next adventure.

Over the years I’ve noticed my own travel needs and desires changing as I’ve grown older. I take it slower. Relax more. And always always avoid top bunks since I’ll likely have to pee at least once in the middle of the night!

My goal is to make your travels easier, cheaper and more fun.

Besides 1) traveling and 2) trip planing, my third favorite thing is talking about traveling!  Hence this website. It’s giving me the opportunity to do more than just share my trips with you. I can now easily share all the travel resources, hints and tips I’ve accumulated.

Happy Travels,
–Suzann
