Even though I love geography with a passion, somehow I always had it wired in my head that Panama was the skinny little country that ran north-south between the continents. I also had it positioned in my mind below central USA. So when I really started planning for my trip here in June 2018, I was surprised that Panama really runs east-west! And Panama City is due south of Miami.
Panama is a country of surprises and contrasts. Relatively small (the size of the state of Maine) in area, it is amazingly large in terms of bio-diversity. Please join me as I explore Panama and share with you my discoveries.
